Obituary for Jackie Ann Pansera

Jacqueline Ann Pansera passed away February 14, 2020 at the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV after a 2 year battle with advanced Parkinson's Disease. Jackie was born at the West Hamlin clinic on July 21, 1968 and was adopted by our mother Angelina Pansera. Jackie was a blessing to our family for 51 years.
Even though Jackie was born with developmental delays, her mother and family exposed her to a variety of educational experiences early in life to give her as many opportunities as possible. She attended 3 years of speech therapy at Marshall University beginning at age 3, then attended Omar Douglas and received her high school diploma at the age of 22.
Jackie was our Mother's greatest gift to us and our mothers wish was for us to "Show Jackie the world", so we did! Jackie loved to travel and visited places like Niagara Falls, Myrtle Beach, Coco Beach, Daytona Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami Beach, and Key West. She also loved to visit her favorite national landmark, the Statue of Liberty while exploring New York. Jackie loved attending Italian Festivals around WV and PA. She loved country music and was elated when she was able to attend Toby Keith and Billy Ray Cyrus concerts in TN. Jackie's favorite mode of transportation was a cruise ship and she was able to go on 4 different Caribbean cruises before she was too weak to travel.
Jackie's faith and devotion to church and God was demonstrated in her eagerness to attend church services at St. Barbara Catholic Church in Chapmanville and River Ridge Church in Hurricane.
Jackie was preceded in death by our mother, Angelina Pansera, her brothers Carmelo (Kathy) Pansera Jr., and Santo L. Pansera. Left to cherish her memory are her siblings Florena P (Richard) Ojeda, Angela M (Bill) Moore and Josephine (Adams) Pansera and her brother Antonio (Patty) Pansera. Due to Jackie's state of perpetual childhood, she was blessed to have grown up with multiple generations of nieces, nephews, and cousins all of whom she adored.
A celebration of Jackie's life will take place in early summer at the home of Richard and Florena Ojeda at Holden.
